There's a good reason for the arch in flatbed and other open deck trailers. It helps to distribute the weight of the freight across the length of the trailer.

DJ, the Lode King, the parts on the top, is the top of the frame. The arched style trailer is called preloading the frame. IRL when loaded correctly, the arch flattens to level. I didn't see hoses on it.

The curve on the flatbed helps with the weight capacity and structure as well as helps to let you know if you're overweight.

The arch is called a coil package. Its there for when we haul big coil usually weighting 49,000 lbs it doesn't stress the trailer to the point of breaking.
