  1. At the risk of sounding like a shill for You Tube, look at it from their perspective for a moment. With so many people staying home because of the quarantines, uploads to You Tube are probably skyrocketing. They have to not only store all of that content but supply it on-demand at no notice. They're paying for file storage, bandwidth, staff, etc. and I would imagine costs are spiking like never before. Reducing file size with drastic compression ratios would save them a massive amount of money so the videos you upload, regardless of file size and quality, are being put through a very harsh filtering system to make them available. Considering how they've moaned about losing profits in the past, I would imagine they're shrieking right now.

  2. When videos are uploaded, it takes time for youtube to convert to high quality, sometimes 4 hours. By the time i watch a video of yours, I don't get any pixilation problems.
    Advice from Youtube;
    Check video quality

    To see if your video has finished processing in higher resolutions, check the video’s watch page.

    Open your video’s watch page.

    In the video player, select Settings .

    Click Quality.

    If higher-quality options are still missing, processing is still completing in the background.

  3. Daggerwin, probably the reason that other people's videos are pixelated is that its probably Youtube automatically adjusting the quality based on people's internet speed.

  4. For those of you seeingvlow quality video the solution is simple, I think. go fullscreencandctap the cog wheel icon in the corner then tap the quality button and choose the quality best for your pc. If the cog wheel doesn't appear then tap the three dots at the top corner the reason most of the bad quality is I timelapses is because YouTube's default video quality settle give auto so it changes for your device so just turn off auto quality adjust. That should work. Now you should be able to enjoy higher quality videos
